Dolly Durkin Jr.

This is the same Hacker designed Gold Cup Raceboat that won set so many records throughout the 20’s. This is an 80% scale replica of Lady Eaton’s fast limousine, Dolly Durkin, built by Ditchburn Boats in the early 20’s. A long front deck with a beautiful hard top in the back incorporating 2 gull wings make the boat stand out to Shop viewers. Her model T role up windows offer the availability of open airy cockpit in warm weather and dryness and warmth in cold weather. Her mother-in-law cockpit offers a outside ride for 2-3 passengers. At this time, she is named Dolly Durkin Jr., in a tribute to the masterpiece that influenced her. She has just been fitted with a high output 496 cu. in. 1.25:1 low profile Mercruiser. Dolly is now completed and fit on a custom trailer with ramps and walkways, this boat will do the show circuit throughout the coming year starting in Eustis, Florida in March, "Keels & Wheels" in Texas, "Bay Harbour" Michigan, "Muskoka" Ontario, "Clayton" New York and Minnesota as a platform to display our work.

When this boat left the Ditchburn factory in 1922, Herb Ditchburn called it "the best work to emerge from his plant to date" and the local press called her "too good to be true".
