Heldena II

Designed in 1915 by George Crouch and built and delivered in 1916, this proved to be one of the longest campaigned Gold Cup boats of the era. By the time Heldena III was designed by George Crouch in 1921, this boat had captured 2 world records, including the fastest displacement hull in the world, at just over 42 mph and raced actively for over 5 years on the Gold Cup circuit. Heldera II was purchased by Rick McGraw at the 2000 Muskoka boatshow as a “project” boat. Breen Boats totally restored Heldera II over a 2 year period from 2001—02 and the original capital converted, V—12 Liberty Aircraft engine that the boat was so successful with, is once again powering her. The 90 year old engine gets more hours per summer than most fiberglass boats as owner Rick McGraw and family love showing that she still goes.
