Hope IV

YEAR: 1938

Rick McGraw purchased this boat in 2012. After having 3 wooden boats in the boathouse, he decided he would like a highly practical wooden boat to replace his fibreglass one. When a extremely rare and collectable "Billy Johnson" triple-cockpit caught his eye, he realized this would be the perfect addition to the fleet.

LENGTH: 22'

Hope V is a very original Muskoka boat that only had two prior owners. It came to Breen "tired" as most are at this stage in their life requiring a new bottom, and total re-finishing above the waterline. Powered with a new Mercruiser V-8, modern power and a Breen Bottom make this both a piece of history,

and a turn-key practical boat.

BUILDER: W.J. JOHNSON

Originally built just as WWII broke out, this boat was put on hold as W.J. Johnson was conscripted to build Mine Sweepers in Honey Harbour, ON. After the war, once engines could be sourced, she was finally delivered in the spring of 1947. She is now used and enjoyed regularly by the McGraw family from her Lake Muskoka home.
