Jeffrey II
YEAR: 1911
The Mullins Boat Co. of Salem, Ohio was once the biggest boat company in the world, producing the world's first galvanized steel boats. Unfortunately, most of these hulls were melted to help the war effort.
LENGTH: 18'
Peter Breen acquired this hull in 1989, and slowly restored it over 7 years. New ribs were steam-bent into the hull, and a new interior and decks were required. Powered with a 'classic re-power', this boat cruises nicely in the 7-10 mph range with a 4-cylinder flat-head Buchanon.
Upon completion, this boat participated in the St.Johns River cruise in 1997, where it narrowly out-paced the current of 4 mph. Four 12-hour days of boating provided eight year old Jeffrey with boating memories of a life time. It completed the cruise again a decade later, and has participated in many boat shows since.
