Shokeepani
"Shokeepani" is a 2003 27.5' Breen Gentleman's Racer that was custom built over a 2 year period for a Muskoka collector, then on Old Woman Island.
She is based off the John Hacker designed 1923 hull that was made famous by "Rainbow III" and
"El Legarto". Built in the Breen "Encapsulated Plank" method, she is a solid-wood boat held together by epoxy and S/S fasteners, with no plywoods or veneers to delaminate. She is in perfect condition, and requires very minimal maintenence compared to other construction techniques.
Powered with a 500 hp Entec Racing 502 cu.in. V-8 that was balanced, blue-printed, & powder-coated, she has no shortage of power and easily cruises into the 55 mph range, with the effortless maneuverability that made this hull so successful. Designed in a Minett-like fashion, she is sleek and streamline, with a 'flush-deck', high-crown configuration and covered forward hatch. The solid bronze custom hardware is also tear-drop and sleek to match. Also features outboard-rudder assembly, moulded-round cockpit trim and solid bronze cut-water, as well as a custom Cradle-Ride trailer. Now available at $325,000 CAD ($230,000 USD).
