The Clarion

"The Clarion" is a 1962 24' Shepherd Runabout built in Niagare-on-the-Lake, Ontario. These boats reached their peak in popularity and production in the 1950's- early 1960's, and have had a loyal following ever since. Particularly practical boats, with spacious interiors that carry many passengers, they are also great boats in large bodies of water and can handle a lot of chop. Many consider this 24' model to be their best, as it was spacious, but also a quick and efficient hull when compared to the 27' model.
"The Clarion" belonged to a Canadian mining magnate, and was fully restored with a new bottom and twin Crusader V-6 powerplants before his untimely passing in 1988. The boat sat in storage for 30 years, only being used a handful of times. In 2021, it was brought to Breen Boats for a refinish as the finish was peeling off. The hull and deck were stripped, re-stained, and varnished. The deck was given new grout, and the interior re-finished as well. Engines and mechanical systems were checked over, and thoroughly tested. The bottom was also checked over and painted. New upholstery installed at this time.
Price now reduced to $125,000 CAD.
